Cupcake thank you card

I made this cupcake card for my neighbors who were nice enough to bring cupcakes over to the house from the local bakery that just opened up in town (not that we really needed them, if you know what I mean).  This is the first time I had ever welded a shape together with my Gypsy to make a card, and it was sooo easy so I’ll be doing that again Smile

Here’s my card ~

Yabba Dabba Layout

I got the paper dolls cartridge last week and saw the Flintstone people and knew exactly what I wanted to do with them.  I’ve had this picture of my stepson in a frame for 13yrs and it was time it made it on paper Smile

DSCN4503

What I used ~

The background paper and the volcano is Core’dinations paper.  I sanded the top of the volcano to give it the lighter look.

The trees, words, and doll clothes are Stampin Up! Peach Parfait and Garden Green.

The trees are outlined with my Garden Green Stampin Up! marker, the stitch lines and words are done with my white gel pen.

Everything is cut from the Paper Doll Dress Up cart except the font which is from Birthday Bash (I LOVE their font).

You & Me layout

Last night I went to a crop and had no idea what I really wanted to work on.  Ever have those moments where you really wanna scrapbook but you just have no idea where to start, well that was me last night.  I looked through books and stamps for inspiration and nothing was coming to me Sad smile  I looked through my bag hoping something would jump out and scream “USE ME”, and I saw a photo in my photo box that did just that!  I actually had tried to scrap this photo a couple of weeks ago at the house and I knew what I wanted to do with it but just didn’t have the right paper to get it to work.  Here I was, going to try again….It worked, just as I saw it in my head!!  It’s a very simple, clean layout so I hope you like it, and as usual my family gives me inspiration even when I’m out and about Smile

DSCN4496 What I used ~

Bottom patterned paper is from Stampin Up! - Woodland Walk DSP.  I’m not sure you can tell from this picture but it’s wood grain, I fell in love with it when I saw it Smile

Green paper is from Stampin Up!- Old Olive & Garden Green

Veins on leaves drawn with my Stampin Up! marker – Early Espresso

Brown paper, I’m not sure what company that was but it’s textured.

Pink and Red is from my AC Cardstock stash

White Gel Pen for the stitch lines
