Mr. Cricut Crazy Wednesday

Happy Wednesday everyone!!  I know you're probably wondering why I'm posting on Wednesday and not Monday, well we've decided to change it up here at Mr. Cricut Crazy and post on Wednesdays now!!  Maybe seeing our posts on Wednesday will make you feel like your closer to the weekends than on Mondays :)

I am again showcasing the stamp set "Christ is My Life", this stamp set is such a great compliment to the Easter Blessings stamp set which can found in the Mr. Cricut Crazy store

My project this week was really simple and sweet ~

The cross was found on google as a coloring page.  The background paper was printed from my Imagine using the Better Together cartridge.

Here are the other design team members posting today so you can show em some love.

Mr. Cricut Crazy Easter Blog Hop

Welcome to the Easter Blog Hop with the Mr. Cricut Crazy Design Team.

Today we have all done projects with the stamp set Easter Blessings which is a limited edition set that you will want to grab quick, before they're all gone!

If you've just come from Karey's blog (Creative Craft Corner) you're on the right track.
If you've just happened on my blog today you'll want to start at
the beginning which is Mr. Cricut Crazy.

My project today was this cute little Easter card ~

The stamp is from Stamp Fairy and the image is
actually under her "freebies" category.

I used the Cuttlebug embossing folder called "Bloom Dots" to emboss the pink paper and they almost look like the flowers on the patterned paper - I thought that was pretty cool!

I'm the last stop on this hop so make sure you go back to
Mr. Cricut Crazy's page for a giveaway.

To win his giveaway you must do two things ...
1.  You must be a follower on his blog
2.  You must leave a comment

Here's the blog hop list in case you want to go back and check out the projects again.

real life got in the way.

Congrats to Yvette from Gamma's Creative Corner!!

Please send me your information to squeakyscrapper@aol.com,
so I can get your prize out to you in the mail.

Card Creating Tuesday

Today's theme was to create a Heart card....
Now I know this sounds like an easy task but for some reason my brain couldn't come up with a thing!  I'm sure you've had days or even weeks like that where your mojo is just "off" and nothing you try comes out the way you see it in your mind ... well that was me this week and this card.

Now that I've gotten that off my chest, here's my card ~

I used the Gypsy Wanderings cartridge to create the base heart scallop card and to cut all the other layers of the card.  I inked around all the layers with Worn Lipstick Distress Ink, added some doodles and brads and TA DA...you have a card!
Recipe:
Base card at 5 1/2"
Layer at 5"
Layer at 4 1/2"
Layer at 4"
Layer at 3"

what the other design team members came up with for today.

My project today is a two page scrapbook layout.
I used the Animal Kingdom, Bloom, Lyrical Letters and
Snow Angel Cricut cartridges (Snow Angel is an Imagine cartridge).

This is how my layout started ...
The borders on the bottom are cut with my CM Wavy Cutter.  The brown is 2" and the green is 1 1/2".

This is the left page.  The tree is cut from the Bloom cart at 11".  The deer are cut from the Imagine Snow Angel cart at 3", the birds are at 3.5" (on the cart they are attached to the deer). The writing was welded on my Gypsy from the Lyrical Letters cart at 1".

This is the right page.  The tree is but from the Bloom cart at 10 1/2".  The deer are cut from the Imagine Snow Angel cart at 3", the birds are at 3.5".  The owl is cut from the Animal Kingdom cart at 2 1/2".

This is what the layout looks like before you add your pictures....

And this is the final layout with your pictures.  I used the same maroon
paper to mat my photos as I used for the birds in the trees and the writing.

I know this isn't your "typical" Christmas layout, but this hasn't been a "typical" Christmas for us as far as the weather goes.  As you can see from the photos we're in short sleeve shirts and these pictures were taken right before Christmas.

I've decided to giveaway some blog candy on this hop, who doesn't like twine!!!
