SPCC #114

I bet you’re wondering what the title means for this blog entry, right?  Well it stands for Scrapmaster’s Paradise Color Challenge #114.  I just LOVE doing color challenges because they use color combo’s that I would never think of myself Smile

This week’s color challenge was to use these colors ~

image

Now, these are Stampin Up! colors but you can use ANY type of paper you want for the challenge, as long as it’s close to these colors.

Here’s what I came up with ~

photo (8)

When I saw these colors together I thought butterflies, but then again, I think I see butterflies in every color scheme Smile  Oh well, you can never have enough butterflies in the world!!

My sentiment is from the Haley stamp set in the Mr. Cricut Crazy store.  I used my cover a card stamp from Impression Obsession to stamp the yellow butterflies.  And of course, my white gel pen!

Here is the the full stamp set of Gus for you to take a look at ~

50 Followers, WOO HOO!!!

I finally made it to my first 50 followers and it feels AWESOME!!  I’m not sure if you’ve heard or not but when I hit 100 I’m going to have an AMAZING giveaway, so please tell your friends and their friends to come on over and get in on the fun Smile

Thank you for following me!!

My first stair step card!!!

I finally sat down today and did a stair step card, thanks to my DT buddy Carolanne from Logans Crafty Momma Smile  You should check out her blog (click on her name) and YouTube channel, she does some awesome stuff and she’s really good at these cards.

So, here’s my first attempt at the card.  I see a lot of places where I could make it better but for a first time I’m pretty happy with it.  I changed up the measurements a little to give me more room to decorate but then realized I wish I would’ve made it smaller … oh well.  Here ya go ~

Front view of the cardphoto (5)

Side view of the cardphoto (6)Here are the directions for making this card as given by Carolanne on her YouTube channel, if you get stuck you can always refer to her video.

Card base should be 5” x 10 1/2”

You should score at 1 1/4”, 2 1/2”, 4 1/4”, 6”, and 8 1/4”

Start at the back of the card (8 1/4” score) and fold like an accordion – the back flap and the front flap should be down.

If you use her measurements for the main card your pieces on each step should be 4 3/4” x 1”, 4 3/4” x 1 1/2”, and 4 3/4” x 2”.  this will give you a little of the base all around.  I covered my whole step.

Work from the back when decorating, you don’t have too but it does make it a little easier.

Good luck on your stair step card!!  Smile

Here’s another Mr. Cricut Crazy stamp sneak peak….

I have just been going crazy today with the different stamps because they are just too stinkin cute!!

Here is a sneak peak from the Halloween Town stamp set ~

The tag is sprayed with Moonlight glimmer mist.  The twine is Blue from the Mr. Cricut Crazy store.  The vampire is from the Paper Dolls Dress Up cart.

Mr. Cricut Crazy Sneak Peak

Good afternoon everyone, I hope you’re having a great day.  Today I wanted to do a sneak peak for one of the newest stamp sets coming out from Mr. Cricut Crazy.  This stamp set is called Gus, and has just the cutest sayings you could imagine.  I’m not a big tag maker, but I do try ~ so here’s what I came up with Smile

photo (3)

Both images on the tag (dog and sentiment) along with several others come in this set.  The dog bone stamp is one I had from a random set.  The twine is also from the Mr. Cricut Crazy store, and I used the brown.

Happy Birthday my friend :)

I made this birthday card for a friend, yes on my Imagine!!  That machine has become my left hand man…left hand cause he sits on the left, and he because he’s temperamental like a man!  I always called my Cricut Expression a she, but for some reason I refer to the Imagine as a he.  My Gypsy is still a female since she tells the Imagine what to do!!  LOL.  Ok, so I’m a little crazy today….. I didn’t get a lot of sleep yesterday, but I did get a lot of crafting done Smile Here’s the card I made for my friend ~

photo

I love how you can still layer the images from the Imagine, they don’t have to be cut flat.  The sentiment and the twine are from the Mr. Cricut Crazy store.  The sentiment is from the Birthday, Birthday stamp set.

I know some of you may be wondering what my title of this blog entry means, well it stands for Scrapmaster’s Paradise Color Combo challenge.  It’s been awhile since I’ve done one of these but I absolutely LOVE them.  If you’ve never done a color combo challenge follow my link above and get in on the action!!  The challenge this week was to make something using these colors.  These colors are from Stampin Up! but don’t worry about that, if you don’t have these exact colors just use something you have that’s close.  The colors for this week are ~

Here is my card for this week ……
