Card Creating Tuesday

Welcome to Card Creating Tuesday with My Cricut Craft Room!!

Today our challenge was to create a card using a stamp on it, pretty easy huh?
I chose to stamp my background on my card to tie in the die cut...

Recipe for my card, which is super simple ....
*Card is an A2 size 4 1/4 X 5 1/2"
*My background is 4 X 5"
*My butterfly background was stamped with
Impression Obsession Cover A Card stamp titled Butterflies.
*My die cut butterfly was cut from the Create A Critter Cricut Cartridge at 3"
*My sentiment is from My Pink Stamper Buggy Punnies

Card Creating Tuesday

Today's theme was to create a Heart card....
Now I know this sounds like an easy task but for some reason my brain couldn't come up with a thing!  I'm sure you've had days or even weeks like that where your mojo is just "off" and nothing you try comes out the way you see it in your mind ... well that was me this week and this card.

Now that I've gotten that off my chest, here's my card ~

I used the Gypsy Wanderings cartridge to create the base heart scallop card and to cut all the other layers of the card.  I inked around all the layers with Worn Lipstick Distress Ink, added some doodles and brads and TA DA...you have a card!
Recipe:
Base card at 5 1/2"
Layer at 5"
Layer at 4 1/2"
Layer at 4"
Layer at 3"

My project today is a two page scrapbook layout.
I used the Animal Kingdom, Bloom, Lyrical Letters and
Snow Angel Cricut cartridges (Snow Angel is an Imagine cartridge).

This is how my layout started ...
The borders on the bottom are cut with my CM Wavy Cutter.  The brown is 2" and the green is 1 1/2".

This is the left page.  The tree is cut from the Bloom cart at 11".  The deer are cut from the Imagine Snow Angel cart at 3", the birds are at 3.5" (on the cart they are attached to the deer). The writing was welded on my Gypsy from the Lyrical Letters cart at 1".

This is the right page.  The tree is but from the Bloom cart at 10 1/2".  The deer are cut from the Imagine Snow Angel cart at 3", the birds are at 3.5".  The owl is cut from the Animal Kingdom cart at 2 1/2".

This is what the layout looks like before you add your pictures....

And this is the final layout with your pictures.  I used the same maroon
paper to mat my photos as I used for the birds in the trees and the writing.

I know this isn't your "typical" Christmas layout, but this hasn't been a "typical" Christmas for us as far as the weather goes.  As you can see from the photos we're in short sleeve shirts and these pictures were taken right before Christmas.

I've decided to giveaway some blog candy on this hop, who doesn't like twine!!!

Card Creating Tuesday

Welcome to Card Creating Tuesday with My Cricut Craft Room.

Today's theme was to use distress inks on your card,
and here's what I came up with.

I am so in love with this My Minds Eye paper and I'm using it like crazy, I'm sure you can tell!  The bummer is that this is last years paper so when I've used it all it's gone :( Oh well, they'll come out with something else just as awesome for next year I'm sure.

Recipe for my card, it's super easy ~
~ A2 size base (4 1/4 X 5 1/2)
~ Polka Dot base (4 x 5 1/4)
~ Beige heart is cut at 4", polka dot heart at 3" from the stock images on my Imagine (you
can get these hearts on a lot of carts)
~ I used Tim Holtz Distress Ink Walnut Stain to go around the edges of the polka dot
base, both hearts and my sentiment.
~ I used Tim Holtz Distress Ink Aged Mahogany to color my flowers which are Flora
Doodles.  You can stamp, glimmer mist, or ink on these flowers.
~ My sentiment is from My Pink Stamper Family & Friends set.
TA DAAAA....you've made a card like mine!

Card Creating Tuesday

Welcome to Card Creating Tuesday with My Cricut Craft Room

Today's theme was Get Well cards.

This theme worked perfect for me because I have a friend that just
had surgery and I wanted to make her a get well card (Hi Rose!).

Here's my card, or should I say my friends card.....

This is a very simple card to make....

I wasn't sure you'd be able to see the bubble punch
on the bottom so I took one laying down.

Recipe for this card....

A2 size base 4 1/4 x 5 1/2" - I used Kraft Cardstock
I used my Divine Swirl Cuttlebug folder to emboss the base
I punched the bottom of the card with my EK Success Bubble Punch
My whale is cut at 3 1/2" from the Create A Critter cartridge
The face is from Peachy Keen Stamps (PK-490 Everyday Character Faces)
The sentiment is from the Friends Friends stamp set of Mr. Cricut Crazy
Ribbon from Stampin Up! and your all done!

Theme Day Thursday

Good morning everyone and welcome to Theme Day Thursday with My Cricut Craft Room.

Today's theme was Valentine Die Cuts, and I went with the traditional heart design.  I was going to make the base of my card a heart, but I figured everyone else would be doing that and since I couldn't do a cherub base (could you imagine) I went with a regular A2 size card.
Here's my card......

Bear with picture...every which way I turned this card the metallic paper put off a glare.  What makes this card "special" is that the heart actually "quivers".  It's got an Action Wobble behind it, and this is the first time I've ever used them - they are soooo cool!!!  If you haven't heard of them you need to check them out, I see myself using them a LOT!   All the paper is from My Minds Eye that I actually bought last year, and I found this one red metallic piece in with it so I must've bought it last year also.

Recipe for this card....
A2 size base 4 1/4 x 5 1/2"
Printed 2nd layer 4 x 5 1/4"
Polka dot 3rd layer (strip)  1 1/4 x 5 1/4"
Metallic heart cut at 3 1/2" from the Gypsy Wanderings cartridge
Polka dot heart cut at 3"
The sentiment is from my brain and put on an EK Success punch
Don't forget about my little Action Wobble under the heart
3 red buttons and your card is complete!

My IMAGINE-ation Monday!!

Happy Monday everyone and welcome to
IMAGINE-ation Monday, hosted by My Cricut Craft Room.

Monday's are the days that we create something with our Imagine.
For my project today I made a card with the Better Together Imagine cartridge.  Ever since I got this cartridge I have looked forward to Valentines Day to use one particular image, because I just thought it was so cute.  I ended up taking my image one step further, but you'll have to wait and see what I did with it.....

I started with a card base of 4 1/4 x 5" and used SU! Red Riding Hood cardstock.

My second pink layer is a stock image on the Imagine and printed from the Better Together Imagine cartridge.

For my final touch I added my image.  As I said above, I took it a step further.  I used the Cricut Craft Room and welded my image with another image also from the Better Together cartridge, and I really think they are "better together". LOL

I believe my image was cut at 3" but you can't tell because of the way I welded the two together.  You can weld them anyway you want them, which would also change your size.
The red dots you see in the upper and lower corner are Ruby Viva Decor Glitter Liner (I took my picture before they flattened out a little more), and the stitch lines are from my trusty right hand man - Mr. White gel pen.
Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to check out My Cricut Craft Room to see what the other designers have come up with today.

My Cricut Craft Room 100 Cartridge January Blog Hop

My Cricut Craft Room 100 Cartridge Hop

Welcome to My Cricut Craft Room
100 Cricut Cartridge Blog Hop
You should have started at My Cricut Craft Room, which is the beginning of the hop,
if not please start at the beginning.

My project today is a scrapbook page; I used Ashlyn's Alphabet,
Close To My Heart: Art Philosophy, Christmas and Birthday Bash.

I used my Gypsy to plan out the page and get my measurements straight.
For the font at the top I used Ashlyn's Alphabet for the "A's" cut at 2" and then welded the rest of the words together from Close To My Heart: Art Philosophy at 1".
The train is cut from the Christmas cartridge at 4" high, but you need to remember that it's automatically going to come out 11" wide ~ which is fine cause I needed it to take up the whole page.  I used Birthday Bash for the writing on the train cut at .30", the date at 1".
It looks like I'm your last project on the hop ~ BUT WAIT... THERE'S MORE! (cheesy infomercial voice) ....... Make sure you stop off at http://ericasblogcandy.blogspot.com/ to see what the AWESOME blog candy is for today.  If you missed commenting on anyone's blog you might want to go back and make sure you leave some love, as that is how winners are picked for the blog candy!

Card Creating Tuesday

Welcome to Card Creating Tuesday with My Cricut Craft Room.  I am super excited to be posting today as a NEW Design Team member!!!

For today's card I used the Create-a-Critter cartridge which is my FAV, and the theme was to use blue in your card.

First I start out with my card base, which is an A2 size card (4 1/4 x 5 1/2) and I used Bashful Blue from SU! (sorry my picture makes it look almost white).  Before I put my second brown layer down I do my stitch lines with a white gel pen (I do them freehand, I'm sure you can tell), and then I ran it through my Cuttlebug using the Bloom Dots Cuttlebug folder. I then put down my 2nd layer which is  Chocolate Chip from SU! at 3 1/2 x 4 3/4.

I used the Audrey Imagine cart to print out the bird cut at 4" from Create-a-Critter.  My sentiment is from My Pink Stamper's Punny-licious stamp set.
