It's time for the February Challenge with Miss Kate Cuttables. 

  This month's challenge theme is MARDI GRAS!   Your project can be anything you want but it must have a file from Miss Kate Cuttables.  I will tell you up front that you will have to think out of the box with this one, because it was not easy.

Meljen's Designs Challenge #82

Here is a card I made for the Meljen's Designs Challenge Blog.  The challenge was to do something Christmas.  If you're wondering what my sentiment means, it is a term that is used in the Army to show agreement or that a soldier understands what is being told to him.  To me this term was perfect for the sentiment on my card, instead of doing the traditional HO HO HO :) I hope you like what I've done ~

SPCC #114

I bet you’re wondering what the title means for this blog entry, right?  Well it stands for Scrapmaster’s Paradise Color Challenge #114.  I just LOVE doing color challenges because they use color combo’s that I would never think of myself  

This week’s color challenge was to use these colors ~

Now, these are Stampin Up! colors but you can use ANY type of paper you want for the challenge, as long as it’s close to these colors.

Here’s what I came up with ~

When I saw these colors together I thought butterflies, but then again, I think I see butterflies in every color scheme   Oh well, you can never have enough butterflies in the world!!

My sentiment is from the Haley stamp set in the Mr. Cricut Crazy store.  I used my cover a card stamp from Impression Obsession to stamp the yellow butterflies.  And of course, my white gel pen! 

Purple Project

Today I worked on a purple challenge for Scrapmaster’s Paradise.  It wasn’t a hard challenge, all you needed to do was create something purple.

When I started picking the colors for this card I just couldn’t stop, they were just sooo pretty  

What I used ~

Sentiment is from The Ultimate Sentiments I stamp set from Scrapmaster’s Paradise.

All paper is from Stampin Up! ~ Concord Crush and Wisteria Wonder.

Ribbon is Whisper White from Stampin Up!

Twine is Purple Plum Divine Twine which can be purchased at the Mr. Cricut Crazy Store.

SPCC #112

I know some of you may be wondering what my title of this blog entry means, well it stands for Scrapmaster’s Paradise Color Combo challenge.  It’s been awhile since I’ve done one of these but I absolutely LOVE them.  If you’ve never done a color combo challenge follow my link above and get in on the action!!  The challenge this week was to make something using these colors.  These colors are from Stampin Up! but don’t worry about that, if you don’t have these exact colors just use something you have that’s close.  The colors for this week are ~

Here’s what I came up with ~

I used all the colors required for the challenge and added some twine, and my white gel pen   The sentiment is from Scrapmaster’s Paradise, from the Mix & Match Friends set – which I use a LOT!

Die Cuttin Divas challenge

The challenge was to see some Valentine's Day cards, altered items, or layouts, using hearts! The more the better!!  

This is a card I made for a friend so I thought I would submit it cause it came out so cute  

It’s a little hard to tell in the photo but it’s actually vintage pink and light pink with a brown and pink ribbon.

What I used ~

Paper is from Core’dinations Vintage paper stack, and the light pink is just the other side of the paper – I actually used one 12 z 12 sheet for this whole card!

Ribbon is from Michaels.

The stitch marks were made with my Stampin Up! Early Espresso marker.

Stamps hearts are also from Stampin Up!

Mojo Monday Challenge

I have such a hard time with sketch challenges, and I really don’t know why but here’s another attempt

What I used ~

All plain paper is Stampin Up! – Real Red, Wild Wasabi, Marina Mist, and Whisper White.

Patterned paper is from American Traditions Celebration paper pack.

The cupcake is just a stamp I had and used my Stampin Up! markers to color it in.

Peachy Keen Sketch Challenge #44

I decided to try another sketch challenge, which seem to cramp my brain all up!  Oh well, practice makes perfect right  

Here’s the challenge I did from Peachy Keen Stamps -

Create a card or layout based on the SKETCH provided with a TWIST - Use a monochromatic color scheme!

What exactly is monochromatic? Using tints and shades of the same color. (i.e. if you choose "red", you must use red, pink, light pink, medium pink, etc.) Black and white will also be allowed!

Scrapmaster’s Paradise Challenge #83

Ok, here we are with another color challenge   I didn’t have all the colors that were needed for the challenge so I had to substitute a couple, which is no big deal for the challenge.

Here is the challenge….

Use this color combo for your project - be it a card, scrapbook LO,  3D or altered item. You do NOT have to use Stampin' UP brand colors or products, but you do have to use colors close to these colors.

Here is what I came up with for the challenge…

Like I said, I had to substitute a couple of colors but the picture is making the pink look much darker than it really is I need better lighting in my room! 

What I used to make this card:

The plain cardstock, pink and cream are from Paper Studio.

The patterned cardstock is actually Regal Rose from Stampin Up!

Ribbon is from Michaels

Sentiment is from My Pink Stamper.
