My first two page layout!!

For the past two days I’ve been working on a two page layout that I was bound to complete if it killed me.  I saw the idea in my head and it actually came out on paper the same way Smile

My husband took me to Bryson City, NC, to ride the train for my birthday in October 2010 and we got some great photos that I new I wanted to scrapbook when we got home.

I used my cricut pens to write on the train …

The paper is all Stampin Up! – Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, and Marina Mist.  The train was cut from the “Christmas” cartridge, and the font is from “Ashlyn’s Alphabet” cartridge.

Friday Mashup Color Challenge

I submitted this card for a color challenge on the Friday Mashup! blog which is a really cute challenge blog.

The challenge was to use the following colors from Stampin Up!

Marina Mist

Real Red

Old Olive

Now, I have to be honest – I didn’t think these colors matched too well but once I got finished it doesn’t look to bad.

I used my cuttlebug on the green paper with the “Bloomin Dots” embossing folder.  The ribbon is also Real Red from Stampin Up!.  I used “Mini Monograms” cricut cart to cut the scallop and the circle.

Merry Christmas!

Do you ever get an idea in your head and can’t rest until you get it on paper?  Well, that’s what I did today so I put together this simple layout for Christmas.

The paper is all Stampin Up! – Garden Green, Cherry Cobbler, and Whisper White.

The cartridges I used were…

“Christmas” for the Christmas banner

“Birthday Bash” for the font of 2010

“Joys of the Season” for the holly

The holly around the picture were put there by Walmart..LOL

Scrapmaster’s Paradise Color Challenge

Well, I think I have found my new favorite thing to do – COLOR CHALLENGES!!!

Tonight I did a color challenge for the Scrapmaster’s Paradise blog.  She works with all Stampin Up! products and colors and I had actually had the colors she called for in the challenge.  If you want to do the challenge you don’t have to use Stampin Up! stuff, you can use your own cardstock but the colors have to be really close to what she’s calling for.

The challenge for this was to use the following colors:

Early Expresso (dark brownish color)

Daffodil Delight (yellow)

Cherry Cobbler (dark red)

Here’s the card I came up with….

I cuttlebugged the yellow with the Spots & Dots folder, and the sentiment is from My Pink Stamper.

The challenge was to use the following colors:

First off, these are not even colors that I would think to pair together, but they came out really cute Smile

Busy, busy, busy !!!

The past couple of weeks have been pretty busy for me since I’ve been trying to get all my Christmas cards done, and I finally finished today – all 47 of them!  I’m pretty proud of myself for making that many since I only made 10 last year, I’ve come a long way in a year Smile

Here are pictures that maybe will inspire someone else for next year Smile

Snowman Card (2)Snowflake Card (2)

This next card is probably gonna be my favorite for this year, and I learned that I have to start really EARLY to get a bunch of these made – they take a lot of time.

This card was made with all Stampin Up! products which work great in my cricut!!

The next three cards I learned to make at the local scrapbook shop so I can’t take credit for the idea, but I did change em up some so I can take credit for them Smile

In the making of these cards I realized that I used almost 45yds of ribbon, and went through 3 ATG rolls!!

Merry Christmas!!
