I love the little scarecrows, but I think I’m gonna look for the Art Philosophy cartridge

Today was my mom’s birthday and I made her card with my Imagine I am just LOVING the new machine!!
Also, before you see the card I wanted to tell you about the Mr. Cricut Crazy Design Team blog hop, which is this Friday. Make sure you stop back and visit all the design team members for some AWESOME blog candy!!
What I used ~
The paper is all from Stampin Up! – Pretty in Pink, Just Add Cake DSP, and the cupcake was cut from Imagine using Whisper White.
The Imagine cart I used was “Better Together”.
The sentiment is from the Mr. Cricut Crazy Birthday Birthday stamp set.
And of course, my buddy the White Gel Pen
I hope everyone had a great weekend and you’re ready for Design Team Monday from the Mr. Cricut Crazy team
This past week I got an Imagine and while playing with it this card started to take life, so I went with it. The stamp set that is showcased here is the “Haley” set, and I think if dog’s had a motto – this would be it!! I am such a big dog lover that these stamps are perfect for me, and hopefully for you too!!
What I used ~
The base colors for the card are from Stampin Up! – Tempting Turquoise and Tangerine Tango.
The twine is Divine Twine, which you can also get at the Mr. Cricut Crazy Store.
The tag is printed from the Imagine with a few color changes and a popped out sun, which is stamped with the awesome Peachy Keen Stamps.
The dog is from my favorite cartridge – Create-a-Critter.
Please make sure you stop over at the other design team members and show em some love ~

Well I’m back from CHA and VERY disappointed, as were a lot of other people that showed up for it. Last year when the trade show finished they opened the show up to the public and called it a Supershow, and it was AWESOME!! This year when the trade show was finished a few of the vendors went across the hallway for the Supershow area which was joined by the Jewelry & Fashion Show – this was a joke!! There was about 15-20 scrapbook vendors, and the rest was the Jewelry & Fashion Side. Needless to say, I came home a day early and didn’t spend any money – which my hubby was happy about both!!
I leave tomorrow for CHA in Rosemont, IL…YEAH!!! Last year I went to CHA and came home with several bags of new product that I found at really GREAT prices. This year they’ve changed the format of the show and combined it with the Jewelry & Fashion Show, so I have no idea what to expect. Wish me luck finding some great deals, and cool products
I found these great stamps from Impression Obsession at the Rubber Stamp Festival in Springfield, MA about a month ago. They are called Cover-a-Card stamps and work with a special “Mega Mount”. The stamps are 6 X 6 and can be layered for different effects for your cards. A friend asked me to stamp the ones I had so she could see what they looked like, (and I see I’ve not applied the ink as I should have) so I thought I would post them here for anyone that had not heard of them.
The “Mega Mount” can also be purchased at Impression Obsession for $25.00. Picture: Mega Mount with Cover-a-Card stamp
It’s hard to tell from the picture but the mount has a slight curve in it. The Cover-a-Card stamps are applied with a rocking motion, which is why there is a curve in the mount, instead of regular stamping. I also use the mount for all my larger stamps and just stamp them in a rocking motion and it works great!
Some of you may not know this but I bought an Imagine last week on Ebay, actually I bidded for it. I got it for $131.00 + free shipping, which I am still shocked about. Anyway, it came today and I was sooo excited when I saw the Fedex guy driving down the driveway, I almost tackled him when he got out of the truck! I brought it in and read all the documentation with it and followed the directions step by step to set it up – it went smooth. Then I pulled my Gypsy out to see how to get it to work with the Imagine – not so smooth – there always has to be a hitch somewhere, right? I found out that my Gypsy didn’t have the Imagine update in it so I plugged it in to update it and thought, this shouldn’t take too long – 4hrs later I’m still updating my Gypsy. I’ve decided at this point to stop the update and start again in the morning. I’ll let you know when I get it all up and running
This week I am showcasing the stamp set Man’s Best Friend Vol. 2 from the Mr. Cricut Crazy stamp line, of course
What I used ~
All the paper is from Stampin Up! and the two base colors are the brand new In Colors that started on July 1st – Pool Party and Island Indigo!
The cuts were made from the Everyday Paper Dolls cart.
The sentiment is from Mr. Cricut Crazy himself
The white stitch lines are from my white gel pen.
Please stop by and give the other design team members some love….

Today I worked on my design team project for next Monday and I’m sorry but I can’t post a picture of it yet, but I think it’s really cute!!
I feel like my mojo is coming back, maybe I just had a few bad mojo days
I had some projects that I needed to work on so I decided to put myself in my scrap room and not come out till I was finished! Several hours later, I came out for dinner and went right back in. When I finally came out for the night I had completed a calendar page for my mom, she’s been yelling at me cause the month of July has already started and she had no calendar! I also made a sympathy card for a friend, which are sooo hard for me. I never know what to put on the front of the card, let alone what to say on the inside.
I feel like lately I’ve lost my crafty mojo It takes everything I have when I sit down to come up with ideas and colors that I get frustrated and walk back out. I have got to get outa this slump. A friend of mine won a Cricut Imagine on EBay the other day for $172.50! It makes me want to get on there and grab one, but I’m trying to hold myself back!
It seems like everyone lately is making tags, my thinking was - what’s the purpose? The only time I use tags are at Christmas time, if I use any at all. My design team boss Tanner told me I needed to learn to make tags, and the other girls on the design team have been whippin em out, so I went to Hobby Lobby to get some. Hobby Lobby was sold out, thanks to Tanner who had been there the day before!! Since I couldn’t find the actual tags and had to order them online I thought I could cut a tag from my Cricut and play around with it. Well, the tag cutting from my Cricut went ok, but the rest of the tag was pretty much a mess! Since I used regular cardstock the ink soaked in and it just wasn’t pretty. Now, I will be waiting till I get the actual tags to try again
